Objectives
This course is accredited by the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) for the qualification and licensing of radiation workers. It aims to provide participants with knowledge related to ionizing radiation and its properties, interactions, effects, applications, and hazards; radiation detection instruments and their proper use; radiation protection regulations and practices; procedures for responding to radiation incidents and handling radioactive waste; emergency preparedness and response in radiation work; radiation quantities and units; and hazards of external radiation exposure and methods of protection.

About the Trainer
Bahaaldien Alshibly is a Senior Specialist in the Radiation Application Lab of the Chemical Industrial Division at the Royal Scientific Society (RSS). He has 13 years of experience in fields related to radiation protection, radiation measurements, and chemical analysis using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) techniques. In addition, he is the Radiation Application Lab Head.
