In a bid to enhance water sector efficiency in Jordan, this project focuses on the development of a comprehensive energy data governance framework. This framework encompasses policies, strategies, and operational plans for managing energy data in the water sector. This project aspires to bolster Jordan’s water sector through streamlined data management and governance.
This project is a consultancy service provided to Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) with an aim to establish an integrated model for energy data governance, encompassing all relevant policies within Jordan’s water sector.
The project focuses on creating an automated data management system for over 500 facilities, including water stations, wells, purification plants, water tanks, and dams, managed by key entities, like water supply companies (Miyahuna, Yarmouk Water Company, Aqaba Water Company), the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), and the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA). The scope includes developing tender documents aligned with ISO 50001 and 27001 standards and overseeing the implementation of this solution in Jordan’s water sector.
